Good Wednesday morning! The following are calls for service and activities for the Sheriff’s Office for Tuesday, 2/13/18.

-3100 blk Canada Rd, Levelland: Disturbance. A deputy was dispatched to a residence in the area related to a possible man with a knife walking around the property. Deputies located the individual and he was not armed. The individual was lost, and was later transported to the residence he was looking for.

-300 blk Edwards, Anton: Theft. A deputy responded to a reported theft of property. Suspect information was provided and the incident is under investigation.

-3100 blk S. FM 168, Smyer: Suspicious Vehicle. Deputies were dispatched to attempt to locate a suspicious vehicle driving in the area. The vehicle left the area prior to arrival of deputies. Residences were checked and no signs of attempted entry into residences were observed and no offenses were reported. The vehicle was described as a silver in color SUV (unknown make or model) occupied by two individuals.

-FM 2646 at Hwy 114, Levelland: Vehicle Crash. Deputies responded to a reported vehicle crash near the intersection. Troopers arrived and conducted the crash investigation. Deputies provided assistance on scene as needed.

-2300 blk E. Ellis, Levelland: Disturbance. Deputies responded to a verbal disturbance at a residence after it was reported someone was possibly kidnapped. All parties were contacted and no kidnapping occurred. Information was collected to document the incident.

-2700 blk Belvedere Rd, Levelland: Disturbance. A deputy was notified of a verbal disturbance at a residence in the area. All parties were contacted and no offenses were reported. Information was collected to document the incident.

Deputies also conducted close patrols/vacation watches, patrols in all areas of the county, investigative follow-up activities, traffic enforcement, and civil process service.

Jail population as of 2/14/18 at 0800 hours: 43 in Hockley County, 2 to be processed, 6 out of county.
