Good Monday morning! The following are calls for service and activities for the Sheriff’s Office for Friday, 2/16/18, through Sunday, 2/18/18.

2/16/18

-Santa Fe at Duke, Anton: Burglary. A deputy responded to a reported burglary offense at a residence in the area. Electronics and tools were reported stolen. The incident is under investigation.

-3100 blk FM 3261, Levelland: Criminal Mischief. A deputy met with complainants regarding continued harassment and criminal mischief. Property damage to a vehicle was reported and a suspect was identified. The matter is being investigated and additional charges are possible.

-2300 blk Arizona Rd, Levelland: Civil Issue. A deputy was dispatched to meet with a complainant regarding text messages and phone calls over child custody. Civil remedies were advised, and information for a report was collected to document the incident.

-1310 Avenue H, LEC: Warrant Service. A deputy was dispatched to the jail to serve several arrest warrants. The individual was booked into the jail without incident.

-Hwy 114 at FM 303, Levelland: Motorist Assist. A deputy responded to the area after being notified of a stranded motorist. The individual was transported to a residence.

-FM 300 at Flowline Rd, Levelland: Motorist Assist. A deputy was dispatched to assist a motorist after his vehicle ran out of gas. The individual was transported to a residence in Levelland. The vehicle was later moved from the area.

2/17/18

-3100 blk FM 3261, Levelland: Criminal Trespass. A deputy was notified of an individual at the residence refusing to leave. The individual later fled the area and was able to get to Lubbock County before deputies could contact him. Information was forwarded to Lubbock County. Information for a report was collected.

-2400 blk Hwy 114, Levelland: Traffic Complaint. A deputy responded to the area due to debris blocking the roadway. On arrival no obstruction was identified and the roadway was clear.

-1800 blk Avenue I, Levelland: Assist Levelland PD. A deputy assisted Levelland PD with a call in the area. One individual was arrested by Levelland PD officers.

-200 blk Avenue X, Levelland: Shots Fired. A deputy responded to the area after receiving a complaint of gun shots. An individual was identified and no offenses were reported at that time. Information was collected.

-400 blk Barton Ln, Levelland: Civil Issue. A deputy was dispatched to a residence in the area for a civil standby. No offenses were reported.

-100 blk Hwy 114 Estates, Smyer: Disturbance. Deputies responded to a reported disturbance at a residence in the area. EMS was notified to respond after an individual passed out. The disturbance was reported to be verbal only and no offenses were reported by any party.

-West Houston at Evening Tower Rd, Levelland: Suspicious Activity. A deputy was dispatched to attempt to locate an individual walking in the area. The area was checked and no one was found.

-6th St at Sylvan, Anton: Fire. Deputies were notified of a fire in the area. Deputies assisted as needed on scene.

-2500 blk Cardinal Ln, Levelland: noise Complaint. Deputies responded to a reported noise complaint at a residence in the area. The area was checked and no disturbance was located.

-200 blk Oak, Levelland: Assist Levelland PD. A deputy responded to assist Levelland officers at a disturbance in the area. Levelland PD handled the call.

2/18/18

-1000 blk School St, Sundown: Alarm. A deputy was notified of an alarm call in the area. It was determined to be a false alarm and the property was secure.

-FM 300 at Black Gold Rd, Levelland: Suspicious Activity. A deputy responded to the area to attempt to locate a vehicle reported as suspicious. The area was checked and the vehicle was not located.

-Owl Rd at Deer Rd, Smyer: Suspicious Activity. A deputy responded to the area related to a reported suspicious vehicle. The area was checked and the vehicle was not located.

-FM 303 at Hwy 114, Levelland: Abandoned Vehicle. A deputy was dispatched to the area related to a vehicle parked along the roadway. The roadway was clear and there was no obstruction.

-2300 blk Hwy 114, Levelland: Found Property. A deputy returned a wallet that had been found to the owner.

Deputies also conducted close patrols/vacation watches, patrols in all areas of the county, investigative follow-up activities, traffic enforcement, and civil process service.

Jail population as of Monday, 2/19/18 at 0800 hours: 49 in Hockley County, 2 to be processed, 6 out of county.
