(Etowah County, Alabama) A Southside man has been arrested in connection to theft of property, according to Sheriff Todd Entrekin.

“Robert Verlon Rowell, 31, of Southside, is charged with one count of first degree theft of property,” investigator Adam Chapman said.

Rowell stole a blue, Honda Civic without permission from a residence on Whorton Bend Road. The vehicle was recovered and now with the rightful owner.

Rowell is currently detained in the Etowah County Detention Center on $5,000 for the theft of property charge. He also faces various other warrants, including a failure to appear on a previous theft of property case.
