Over the past several months, the City of Adelanto had over 50 Rodeo Arena panels, chutes and gates stolen from the Adelanto Stadium. The most recent theft occurred between Monday, February 5, 2018, and Wednesday, February 7, 2018.

On Thursday, February 8, 2018, Deputies Randy Stanley and Rob Oakleaf from the Sheriff’s Rural Crime Task Force located information about rodeo arena panels for sale on “Offer Up”. The deputies authored a search warrant for the location recovering nine arena panels and two gate panels. After interviewing suspects at the location deputies received information on the location of additional stolen panels on the same street. At this location, deputies recovered nine additional panels, two gate panels and a loading chute for cattle.

In total, Stanley and Oakleaf recovered approximately $6,000.00 worth of Rodeo Arena equipment belonging to the City of Adelanto.
