Be advised that Slocomb Police Department was made aware of a post of someone wanting to shoot up a school with the "SHS" initials. Chief White has confirmed with another police agency from out of state and has confirmed that this was not intended or refers to Slocomb High School in any manner.

Authorities in the proper jurisdiction has been investigating and has all the information.

We appreciate everyones concern in the matter and continued vigilance for the safety of our children, but at this point have no threats that have been made toward our local schools. Police will be on campus tomorrow as a precaution to assure the faculty, staff, and students.
