BOIL WATER ADVISORY IN LIVONIA HAS BEEN LIFTED - NORMAL WATER USE MAY BE RESUMED
The Great Lakes Water Authority (GLWA), the region’s water supplier, has notified the City of Livonia that all water sample tests, from the first and second round of testing, indicated no bacterial contamination from the loss of water pressure that was detected in the City of Livonia water distribution system due to Great Lakes Water Authority (GLWA) water supply transmission system issues on February 22, 2018. You may now resume normal water use.
While there was never any evidence of bacterial contamination in the water supply, the City of Livonia exercised an abundance of caution as a result of this event by issuing a boil water advisory. The safety of our citizens and the water supply system is our highest priority and we apologize for any inconveniences this situation may have caused.
