TWO MISSING PERSON(S) LOCATED SAFE

On Monday, February 26th 2018, the Anderson Police were made aware of two missing person’s that had last been seen at the Anderson Wal*Mart around 7:00 A.M. 37 year old, Tyran Meirow from Shasta Lake and 20 year old, Dylan Hembree-Bohl from Shingletown, became lost in the national forest after experiencing vehicle trouble in the national forest near road 23N02 close to the Paskenta area.

After exhuasting multiple efforts, the Anderson Police were able to reach the two men on a cell phone. Anderson Police learned that the men had left their vehicle and walked approximatley 30 miles to achieve cell service and during a phone coverstation they informed police that they had one bar of service.

GPS coordiantes were quickly obtained by police and the two men were instructed to stay where they were. The California Highway Patrol’s Air Operations Division assisted Anderson Police and responded to the GPS coordinates provided. A CHP Helicopter landed, rescued the two men and transported them to a location in Redding, California, where they were reunited with family. Both men were found to be in good health and good condition.
