** Update ** Suspect arrested.--Sebastopol Police Department investigates threat found at Analy High School.
On 2-28-18, Sebastopol Police Officers continued their investigation of the threats found at Analy High School yesterday. Based on initial analysis of the involved handwriting, as well as other information, Investigators contacted a 16 year old Analy High School student. In interviewing the suspect, he admitted to having written the threat. He was subsequently arrested and booked at the Sonoma County Juvenile Detention Facility for making criminal threats.

On the morning of 2/27, the Sebastopol Police Department received a report from school administrators at the Analy High School regarding graffiti that indicated a specific threat. Officers were dispatched to the scene to investigate and ascertain the credibility of the threat.
In immediate response to the threat, the Sebastopol Police Department deployed additional police resources to the Analy High School campus, to ensure the safety of the students and faculty. At this time, there has not been any additional indication of a credible or imminent threat.
As a precautionary measure, the Analy High School administration has chosen to close the school for the remainder of the day, and has issued notifications to parents and staff. Additionally, for the next few days, there will be increased police presence on campus.
