On February 26, 2018, South Los Angeles Sheriff’s Station became aware of a social media message which was circulating referencing being safe at Lennox Middle School on Friday, March 2nd. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, South Los Angeles Station and the Lennox School District take every threat seriously, and thoroughly investigate each incident in an attempt to determine the source and validity of the threat.
South Los Angeles Sheriff’s Station works tirelessly with the Lennox School District and staff at Lennox Middle School to provide the students and staff at Lennox Middle School with a safe campus.
South Los Angeles Station detective personnel are currently investigating this incident. At this time, detectives have been unable to identify the source or validity of the threat. South Los Angeles Sheriff’s Station will continue to work with the Lennox Middle School and District personnel to ensure any new information is investigated thoroughly for the continued safety of students and staff.
