POP Unit Conducts Pro-Active Enforcement Detail

On Thursday, March 1, 2018, the Anderson Police Department Problem Oriented Policing Unit conducted a pro-active enforcement detail in the City of Anderson. The POP Team was accompanied by members of the Shasta County Probation Department, Shasta County Marshal's Office, and the Department of Homeland Security.

The operation resulted in approximately 30 contacts, 10 arrests, 12 probation/parole searches, and three children were taken into protective custody by Shasta County Child and Family services.
During the operation the following subjects were arrested:

Jonathan Hill-Hawkins, age 30, was arrested for a violation of parole, possession of a controlled substances, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Karen Sullivan, age 33, was arrested on three outstanding warrants for her arrest.

Shawn Henry, age 31, was arrested for a violation of probation, and child endangerment.

Guy Thissell, age 36, was arrested for a violation of probation, possession of a controlled substance, and for two active warrants for his arrest.

Jarrett Carpenter, age 38, was arrested for possession of ammunition by a felon, and a violation of probation.

Forrest Foreman, age 53, was arrested on an outstanding warrant for his arrest.

Casey Galba, age 29, was arrested on an outstanding warrant for his arrest.

Richard Wymer, age 37, was arrested on six outstanding warrants for his arrest.

Robert Edwards, age 46, was arrested for a violation of probation and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Sierra Cook, age 28, was arrested on an outstanding warrant for her arrest.
