Nor'Easter High Wind Warning for our area.
A significant Nor’Easter is impacting our region today through Saturday (03/03/18). Current predictions call for a wintry mix before 1000 hrs then a transition to rain and snow and then a change to all rain. The rain could be heavy at times.
There is a High Wind Warning for our area until 0600 hrs on Saturday (03/03/18). North Winds are predicted to be in the 25 to 35 MPH range with potential gusts up to 60 MPH.
The winds and the heavy snow may knock down trees and power lines. Power outages are expected.
There is a Flood Watch issued for our area through late this evening. Total rainfall could be in the 2-4 inch range. Rivers and streams may exceed their banks. Urban flooding is predicted.
Today’s temperatures are predicted to be near 40 degrees and tonight’s near 30 degrees with wind chill values near 25 degrees.
