INCIDENT: FATAL HIT AND RUN TRAFFIC COLLISION INVOLVING A PEDESTRIAN
LOCATION: US HWY 395/ SENECA ROAD, ADELANTO
SUSPECT: UNKNOWN - DARK COLORED FOUR-DOOR VEHICLE
VICTIM: 42 YEAR OLD MALE PEDESTRIAN FROM ADELANTO
SUMMARY:
On Friday, March 2nd at 11:01 p.m., deputies from the Victor Valley Sheriff's Station Major Accident Investigation Team were called to investigate a fatal hit and run traffic collision involving a pedestrian.
A witness was driving north on US Hwy 395 south of Seneca Road when she saw a male walking south on the west shoulder near the white fog line of US Hwy 395. The witness saw a dark colored four-door vehicle traveling south on US Hwy 395. The vehicle swerved to the left but struck the pedestrian. The driver then fled the scene in the vehicle. The 42 year old male from Adelanto was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The suspect vehicle will have damage to the passenger side. Anyone with information is asked to call Deputies K. Riberich or R. Jahn at (760)552-6800
