Felon in Possession of Firearm and Stolen Property Arrest
On March 3, 2018, at approximately 0835 hours, an Arroyo Grande resident reported seeing a male subject taking a box out of his vehicle and concealing it into the bushes near a residence. The resident immediately called police, who arrived a short time later and found a firearm in the bushes.
During this initial search, officers were advised by another neighborhood resident that the same subject was seen acting suspicious in the nearby neighborhood. The citizen provided officers with additional information which led officers to the vehicle and the suspect. A brief foot pursuit led to the apprehension and arrest of POOYAN ESLAMBOLIPOUR, out of Arroyo Grande, CA.
Officers subsequently located multiple items of stolen property in the suspect’s vehicle from vehicle burglaries that had occurred in the Buellton area.
ESLAMBOLIPOUR was subsequently booked on multiple felony charges: Felon in possession of a firearm, Felon in possession of ammunition, Felon committing a crime while out on bail, Felony possession of stolen property and an outstanding Felony Warrant for possession of stolen property.
The aforementioned felony case and felony apprehension would not have occurred without the residents getting involved and immediately reporting the suspicious behavior.
