*UPDATE* #LASD Homicide Det's Responding to Shooting Death Investigation, 4000 block of East 6th Street, Los Angeles
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide detectives are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a Hispanic woman that occurred in the 4000 block of East 6th Street, Unincorporated Los Angeles at approximately 11:09 P.M. on Monday March 5, 2018.
East Los Angeles Sheriff’s Station deputies were dispatched to the location in response to an “Illegal shooting” call. The call was updated to indicate there was a “gunshot victim” at the location. Upon arrival, deputies discovered two women suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. One of the women was transported to a local hospital where she was treated and is in stable condition. The second victim was located laying on the sidewalk with an apparent gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Information detectives received indicated the incident may be gang related.
No weapon was recovered.

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide detectives are responding to the 4000 block of East 6th Street in the city of Los Angeles to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a female adult.
The female adult was pronounced dead at the scene.
There is no further information at this time, and the investigation is on-going.
