NWS/Mount Holly: Winter Storm Warning
The National Weather Service in Mount Holly has issued a Winter Storm Warning from approximately 7 p.m. tonight until approximately 3 a.m. Thursday.
A heavy, wet snow with accumulations of 4-8 inches is expected in Mercer County. The pending nor'easter will begin with light rain. Light snow will start late this afternoon and increase in intensity this evening before changing to mostly snow tonight thru Wednesday. Accumulation rates of up to 1-inch per-hour are possible. The heaviest snow should fall from midday Wednesday into Wednesday evening.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS: Plan on difficult travel conditions, including during the evening commute on Wednesday. Be prepared for significant reductions in visibility at times. Wind gusts up to 35 mph are possible. With this being a heavy, wet snow, it is likely that trees and power lines could be brought down from the weight of the accumulating snow, resulting in power outages.
