The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning from 10:00 p.m. tonight until 4:00 a.m. Thursday morning.

Snow will move into the area overnight tonight and continue through Wednesday night. It will start off slow and possibly mix with rain. Heaviest snow starts late Wednesday morning and continues through Wednesday evening. Total snow accumulation is expected to be 6 to 10 inches with locally higher amounts of 10 to 14 inches possible. Snowfall rates of 1 to 2” inches per hour are possible. White out conditions are possible for Wednesday afternoon/evening.

Winds will be 15-20 MPH with gusts up to 30 MPH. This may cause blowing and drifting snow. Temperatures will remain around 32 degrees. Minor tidal flooding is possible with high tide cycles. Heavy wet snow may cause downed trees and power lines. Please exercise caution when traveling.

If you experience a power outage, please call PSE&G directly at 1-800-436-7734. Do not call the Police Department to report a power outage or to ask when power will be restored.
