The State of Emergency in the Town of Yorktown has been rescinded as of 9AM by Town Supervisor Ilan Gilbert 
While the State of Emergency has been lifted, extreme caution is advised if you choose to drive on town roadways. Multiple wires are down. Yorktown Police, Yorktown Highway, and our local Volunteer Fire Departments remind our residents that energized wires may be in submerged in snow & not visible. Treat all downed wires as energized. Do not touch structures such as guardrails, poles, etc., as a downed line could energize those structures. Please treat all inoperable traffic signals as a stop sign in all directions.
