February 9th

Battery - (Luckys) 1000 El Cerrito Plaza:
At 1122 hours, an officer responded to the report of a black male, 20’s with long dread locks and wearing a black and yellow jacket shoved an employee after being confronted behind the tobacco counter.

February 10th

Auto Burglary - (Denny’s) 11344 San Pablo Ave:
An officer responded to the report of an auto burglary. An unidentified suspect smashed a car window and stole a backpack with misc. property.

Shoplifter – (CVS) 10650 San Pablo Ave:
At 1133 hours, an officer responded to the report of a theft of beer. A black male adult, 6’0’, medium build, afro style hair, blue sweatshirt with large lettering and dark blue jeans, stole two 30-pack’s of Budweiser beer ($56.00) and fled westbound through the parking lot.

Commercial Burglary – 10860 San Pablo Ave (Construction Site):
At 1315 hours, ECPD officers responded to the location for an alarm. The alarm company advised that they had multiple video-alerts that showed a subject walking inside the premises. While conducting a walk-through of the construction site, an officer heard noises coming from the 3rd floor of the southwest building. Officers searched the building and located a 20-year-old transient woman on the third floor. She was found in possession of stolen property. She was arrested, booked and transported to the MDF.

Shoplifter – (Walgreen’s) 11565 San Pablo Ave:
At 1355 hours, an officer responded to the report of a shoplifter. A Hispanic or Asian male adult, 20’s, wearing a brown long sleeve shirt ran out of the store with a case of beer. The suspect was last seen westbound towards Del Norte BART.

Attempt Robbery - (Rubio’s) 5010 El Cerrito Plaza:
At approximately 1429 hours, officers responded to the report of a robbery. A black male, approx. 30-years-old, 5’09” 190 lbs, wearing a dread lock hair style, a gray baseball cap and gray and black sweatshirt attempted to yank away a purse. The victim fought back and was knocked to the ground and then stepped on by the suspect. The suspect fled in a silver 2000’s Audi with paper plates. The driver was a black male in his twenties.

February 12th

Warrant Arrest - (Starbucks) 11861 San Pablo Ave:
At approximately 0946 hours, an officer contacted 49-year-old Richmond man who was wanted by the Department of Corrections. He was arrested, booked and transported to the MDF.

Residential Burglary - 2500 block of Mira Vista Dr:
At 1349 hours, an officer responded to the report of a residential burglary. An unknown suspect kicked the lower story front door and conducted a major ransack of the interior.

February 13th

Warrant, Possess Stolen Property, Trespassing – 500 block Lexington Ave:
At 0520 hours, Officers were dispatched to an unwanted person/trespasser. The 36-year-old male suspect was located nearby and found to be wanted on a misdemeanor warrant out of Contra Costa County. Officers located a vehicle with the door opened in the parking garage which is a closed gate apartment complex. A remote garage opener from the vehicle was in the suspect’s possession. He was arrested, booked at ECPD, and transported to county jail.

February 14th

Warrant, Possess Controlled Substance/Drug Paraphernalia – Central Ave / Pierce St:
At 2011 hours, an officer conducted a pedestrian stop and arrested a 50-year-old male transient on a no cite Contra Costa County warrant stemming from a 2016 ECPD Arrest. A search incident to arrest yielded methamphetamine and a pipe. He was booked at the ECPD, cited on the new charges, and transported to MDF on the warrant.

Warrant – Cutting Blvd / S. 49th St:
At 2242 hours, an officer responded to a theft at Walgreens. He located and detained a 23-year-old man from Vallejo nearby. The man was positively identified as the subject, however, Walgreens staff was unsure exactly what was stolen. The suspect was also wanted on a San Francisco Warrant. He was arrested, booked at the ECPD, and then released on a citation.

February 15th

Stolen Vehicle – 225 El Cerrito Plaza:
Between 1530 and 1630 hours, an unknown suspect stole the victim’s 1995 Honda Accord.

Warrant (x4), Shoplifting, Grand Theft, Conspiracy – CVS, 10650 San Pablo Ave:
At 2105 hours, Officers responded to a suspicious person call at CVS. The caller reported three subjects inside who appeared to be stealing. Upon arrival, two 21-year-old females from San Francisco were detained in front of the store. A 33-year-old man from Antioch was detained as he tried to walk out of the parking lot. The two females had $1400 in stolen medication concealed in two duffel bags. The male had been helping them load the duffel bags inside the store. A records check revealed one female was wanted on three warrants, two from Contra Costa and one from San Francisco. The second female was wanted on a San Mateo warrant. A search of their vehicle revealed $1300 in stolen medication which was stolen from Wal-Mart in Richmond. All three were arrested, booked at the ECPD, and then transported to MDF.

February 16th

Auto Burglary - (Nation's) 6060 Central Ave:
At 0843 hours, an officer responded to the report of an auto burglary. Sometime overnight, an unidentified suspect smashed a car window and stole misc. property.

Brandishing a Weapon - Carlson Blvd / Central Ave:
At 0929 hours, an officer responded to the report of a subject brandishing a knife during a road rage incident. A 44-year-old San Pablo man brandished a knife at the victim during the argument. Both parties fled the scene and were contacted via phone. The suspect claimed to be scared about the other driver challenging him to exit the vehicle and fight.

Warrant Arrest - Central Ave / Pierce St:
At 1142 hours, an officer contacted a 32-year-old who was wanted on three misdemeanor warrants. He was arrested, booked and transported to the MDF.

Residential Burglary – 2300 block of Carquinez Ave:
At 1311 hours, officers responded the report of an alarm call with multiple activation points. Upon arrival, it was discovered the suspects had pried open the front door, entered the residence and stole property.

Residential Burglary - Potrero Avenue / Arlington Blvd:
At 1331 hours, Officers responded to the report of a residential burglary. The rear door of the residence was kicked in by unknown suspects. The suspects entered the residence and stole property.

Robbery (Estes) – (Safeway) 11450 San Pablo Ave:
At 1909 hours, officers responded to an altercation between an adult male and a juvenile male. Officers arrived on scene and determined an adult male entered the store and selected two six packs of beer and walked out the business. The man was stopped by a loss prevention agent and the two engaged in a verbal altercation. The man refused to go back inside the store. While he and the loss prevention agent argued, the store security guard got between them to break them up. The male forcefully grabbed the security guard’s arm and moved it away, walked back in the store and walked out with more items. The male was taken into custody. After booking he was transported to the county jail.

Warrant Arrest – S.52nd and Victor Ave:
At 2234 hours, an officer conducted a traffic stop and arrested the driver, a 42-year-old Sacramento man, for an ECPD warrant. The man was booked and transported to the county jail.

Recovered Stolen Vehicle – 6000 El Cerrito Plaza:
At 0110 hours, an officer located a 1998 Honda Civic which was reported stolen to Emeryville PD on 2/15/18. The vehicle was released to the vehicle owner at the scene.

Recovered Stolen Vehicle – 6000 El Cerrito Plaza:
At 0145 hours, an officer located a 1995 Honda Accord which was reported stolen to ECPD on 2/15/18. The vehicle was released to the owner at the scene.

DUI – Central Ave and San Pablo Ave:
At 0338 hours, an officer conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle which was traveling east in the westbound lanes of Central Avenue. The officer subsequently arrested the driver, a 35-year-old Walnut Creek man, for DUI. After booking the driver was cited and released to a friend.

February 17th

Auto Burglary – 7700 block of Terrace Dr:
At 0829 hours, an officer responded to the report of an auto burglary. In between 2200 hours – 0800 hours, an unidentified suspect broke the rear window of a Subaru and rifled the interior. There was no loss.

Warrant Arrest – Starbucks - EC Plaza:
At 1051 hours, an officer was conducting foot patrol at the EC Plaza when he contacted a 32-year-old Albany man who was wanted on a felony warrant. He was arrested, booked and transported to the MDF.

Shoplifter – (Luckys) 1000 EC Plaza:
At 1222 hours, an officer responded to the report of a shoplifter at Lucky’s. A black male, 30’s, short black hair wearing a black shirt with a white collar stole $96 in food items and fled the store.

Shoplifter – (Walgreens) 11565 San Pablo Ave:
At 1302 hours, an officer responded to the report of a subject stealing food items from Walgreens. The suspect, a black male, approx. 19-years-old, wearing blue shirt and brown pants fled to the Del Norte BART station.

Shoplifter – (Safeway) 11450 San Pablo Ave:
At 1354 hours, an officer responded to the report of a subject eating food at Safeway and refusing to pay. The 67-year-old man was contacted and placed under citizen’s arrest. He was field cited.

Residential Burglary – 1400 block of Everett Street:
At 1833 hours, officers were dispatched to a residence, when a neighbor reported seeing two juveniles come out the front door of the residence. The neighbor called the homeowner first, before calling police, resulting in a delay of approximately 20 minutes before police arrived. On arrival, officers discovered an open front door and determined the interior of the house had been thoroughly ransacked, with furniture upended and drawers thrown into the hallway. Suspects The entered by cutting the rear metal screen door and unlocking it from inside, then kicking the wooden door. To add insult to injury, the suspects poured milk, juice and soda all over the floor, walls and furniture before fleeing.

February 18:

Drunk in Public – 10400 block of San Pablo Ave:
At 2216 hours, Officers responded to a altercation between a male and female at a bar. Officers arrived on scene and contacted an adult female and a 44-year-old male who were both heavily intoxicated. Officers advised they were not able to walk home and needed a ride. The male refused and attempted to walk pass officers. The male was unable to care for himself and was taken into custody. The male was transported to county jail. The female was given a ride by a sober friend.

Possession of Identifying Information, Paraphernellia, Misappropriation of Property, Felon in Possession of a Stun Gun, Probation Violation – San Pablo Ave and Hill St:
At 2245 hours, an officer conducted a traffic stop and subsequently arrested a 45-year-old male and a 42-year-old female. The male was on felony probation and a felon. The male was in possession of a stun gun a pipe used to smoke controlled substance. The female was also on probation and a search of her belonging revealed she was in possession of credit cards in the name of other persons, and personal information belonging to others. A probation search of their nearby hotel room revealed a work station were fake IDs were made in addition to more personal information of others. After booking the male and female were transported to county jail.
