Construction activities for the week of March 12 on the South Bay Rapid project include:

Interstate 805 to Heritage Road (Segment 1A)
Monday – Friday, March 12 - 16: No parking in front of Veterans Park between Medical Center Drive and Davies Drive to allow crews to remove trees.

Lane closures along westbound East Palomar Street between Davies Drive and Medical Center Drive. These closures are in place 24/7 for retaining wall and utility relocation work. Pedestrian detours will be in place. The bus stop east of Medical Center Drive has been relocated to the west side of Medical Center Drive.

Lane and sidewalk closures along westbound East Palomar Street between Heritage Road and Medical Center Drive. These closures are in place 24/7 during sidewalk demolition and construction.

Periodic daytime lane closures on East Palomar Street and Oleander Avenue near the intersection. These closures will allow crews to conduct preparatory work for the installation of underground communication utilities.

Heritage Road to View Park Way (Segment 1B)
Monday, March 12: Crews to pour new concrete at Heritage Station. Residents and businesses may experience noise between the hours of 4 p.m. and 10 p.m.

Periodic lane closures in both directions along East Palomar Street between Heritage Road and Olympic Parkway for continued road work improvements.

Olympic Parkway to State Route 125 (SR 125) (Segment 2)
Periodic daytime closures of one westbound lane and one eastbound lane on Olympic Parkway between the southbound SR 125 off-ramp and La Media Road between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Temporary signage will be in place to alert motorists. Motorists can expect short delays.
