Advisory

Power Outage--March 10, 2018

JCP&L reports 23% of Knowlton remains out of power this morning. Twenty repair crews were dispatched to Knowlton yesterday. Today a representative of Congressman Gottheimer's office will tour the town.

JCP&L’s reporting and tracking system has had significant problems. Municipal officials continue to try and assist JCP&L in reaching residents who have been out of power. If your power is still out or wires remain down around your home or street, please contact:

Adele Starrs 908-496-0055
Kathy Cuntala 908-619-1353
Debra Shipps 908-217-0836
Bob McNinch 908-496-4782
Frank Van Horn 908-475-5664

The North Warren Regional HS warming center does not have plans to reopen, as most of the surrounding towns have substantial restoration of power. Anyone still in need of a hot meal, warming center, water, or temporary generator, please call one of the individuals above--many kind neighbors have offered help.

CenturyLink is aware of the damage to wiring and telephone poles in Knowlton and has crews working to repair Internet service. Like JCP&L, they are sending in crews from remote locations to assist. Each resident should call CenturyLink problems in to: 877-273-5419.
