Orange & Rockland (O&R) deployed out-of-state crews this morning to our area to assist with power restoration. As of this morning 512 O&R customers were still without power. Power was restored to several streets during the day. Your municipal officials continue to press O&R in regular phone calls to provide the necessary resources to finish the work. O&R said this afternoon that completing repairs will take into Monday.

Please note that all Wyckoff Public Schools will open tomorrow at their regular times. Please drive carefully—with the change to daylight savings time some students may be traveling in the dark. The passable portions of roads may be narrow because of snow, and visibility may be reduced because of piles of snow. Please urge your children to use caution as they walk to bus stops and as they enter and exit their schools and walk through parking lots.

DO NOT GO NEAR DOWNED WIRES AND BE AWARE THEY MAY BE BURIED UNDER SNOW

The Wyckoff DPW worked through the weekend to remove tree limbs and branches impeding roadways and will continue to do so tomorrow.

Warming/cell phone charging centers will remain open tomorrow:

1. Christian Health Care Center, Theresa Bushman drive off of Mountain Ave., Commons Building first parking area on left
2. Wyckoff Family YMCA, 691 Wyckoff Avenue (shower facilities available at this location 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.)

Hours at each center are 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Please do not call the police department to report an outage. If you are an O&R customer without power and have not yet contacted them, please call them at 1-877-434-4100.
