Advisory

Monday Power Update. .

Power was restored to several areas of town last night and this morning. While the vast majority of residents now have power, at this time there still remain homes serviced by Orange & Rockland (O&R) which need to be restored. O&R has promised to restore all street outages today. Your municipal officials will continue to push O&R to repair all power lines as soon as possible.

If you do not have power because of a downed service line between your home and street, this link explains what part of the electrical supply is the homeowner’s responsibility:

https://www.oru.com/en/services-and-outages/preventing-recovering-from-outages/how-we-respond/what-we-are-responsible-for-repairing-after-outages

Please stay at least 50 feet from downed wires and be aware they may be buried under snow.

As a precaution, the Christian Health Care Center (Theresa Bushman Drive, off of Mountain Ave., Commons Building first parking area on left) will remain open as a warming/cell phone charging center from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, March 13.

Please do not call the police department to report an outage. If you are an O&R customer without power and have not yet contacted them, please call them at 1-877-434-4100.
