...WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 8 PM THIS EVENING TO 5 AM EDT THURSDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy snow and blowing snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 7 to 11 inches, with localized amounts up to 15 inches in the elevated terrain in southern Onondaga and southern Madison counties.

* WHERE...Northern Oneida, Onondaga, Madison and Southern Oneida Counties.

* WHEN...From 8 PM this evening to 5 AM EDT Thursday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Plan on difficult travel conditions, including during the evening commute on Wednesday. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph will cause areas of blowing and drifting snow.

* AFFECTED AREAS: MADISON ... NORTHERN ONEIDA ... ONONDAGA ... SOUTHERN ONEIDA
