Two dogs have been reported to be around Humansville. The owners are presently unknown but both have collars and are friendly with people. The animals were possibly dumped. If owners are not located within 24 hours efforts will be made to contact the Humane Society to see if they can remove the animals; with very limited resources the Polk County Humane Society cannot always accept animals. Both dogs are friendly to people but have been reported to cause issues to smaller animals which should be carefully monitored. If you know the owner of the animals please contact the police station line (and leave a message) 417-754-1193. In the event owners are not located and anyone would be interested in fostering or taking the dogs also contact me.
