On March 14, 2018, at about 01:00 AM an Anderson Police Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of Riverside Dr. and North St.

The driver of the vehicle, Savannah Purdy, age 20, of Anderson, was found to have an active warrant for her arrest, and to be driving on a suspended driver's license.

The passenger in the vehicle, Daryl Stiles, age 33, of Anderson, was found to be on felony probation out of Humboldt County for a weapons violation.

Officers conducted a search of the vehicle and located methamphetamine packaged for sales, a concealed loaded firearm, additional drug packaging materials, and drug paraphernalia.

Stiles ultimately admitted to possession of the items.

Purdy was arrested on her warrant and for driving on a suspended driver's license.

Stiles was arrested for being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition, possession of a firearm with a controlled substance, possession and transportation of methamphetamine for sales, possession of a loaded concealed firearm in public by a felon, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Stiles was booked into the Shasta County Jail.
