Message at Sobrato HS results in student arrest.
On March 13, 2018 MHPD and MHUSD received information of a possible threat found at Sobrato High School.

MHPD and MHUSD immediately responded to the school to investigate a written message located a day after it was written. A team of officers were on site throughout the investigation. A student was identified, arrested and booked into the Santa Clara County Juvenile Hall.

MHPD will not tolerate any threats that jeopardize the safety of our children and schools. We will investigate all threats immediately and methodically and hold the offenders accountable for their actions. The safety of our Students and Staff is our top concern.

MHPD encourages parents to talk with their children to reinforce the severity of these types of actions. There is an increase of threats being made at schools across the nation and all threats will be taken serious and prosecuted no matter what the intent.
