Citizens encouraged to attend Community Meeting this evening from 6:00-7:15 p.m. at the Cushing High School Auditorium. 
Cushing - The City of Cushing will be hosting a community meeting this evening from 6:00 p.m. - 7:15 p.m., at the Dora Hobbs Performing Art’s Center on the campus of Cushing High School. The City is inviting all interested citizen’s to come and learn more about the upcoming special election slated for Tuesday, April 10.
The City is seeking the citizen’s blessing to:
- Purchase two (2) fire trucks to replace existing trucks
- Build a new animal shelter
- Purchase a street sweeper
Funding for these projects is already in place and will not require asking citizens for a new source of revenue, but because the costs for each exceed the $185K spending limit, approval by the people is necessary. We hope you will come and learn more about how you can help us continue to serve you better.
