On 03/13/18, Camarillo patrol deputies arrested the above suspect for Residential Burglary, Robbery, Unlawful Taking of a Vehicle, and Elder Abuse. On 03/13/18, a victim was working in his home office when he heard his alarm system alert to an open door near the rear of the residence. The victim walked to the rear of the residence and discovered an unknown male subject (later identified as (S) Roy Tyron Duncan) inside his residence. S-Duncan grabbed property belonging to the victim and fled from the home. A short time later, in the same area, a second victim came home to find an unknown SUV parked in his driveway. He also saw that his garage door was open. The victim parked his vehicle behind the SUV blocking it in. The victim saw S-Duncan standing in his garage, holding property. The victim confronted Duncan and a struggle ensued in which Duncan pushed the victim to the ground and took the victim’s car keys out his (victim’s) pants pocket. Duncan drove the victim’s car down the driveway and onto the street before returning to his SUV and fleeing the area. The victim suffered minor injuries during the assault. Responding deputies were able to get a vehicle description and conduct a high-risk stop on the vehicle driven by Duncan. Inside of the vehicle was property belonging to both victims. Deputies were able to positively identify Duncan as the suspect from both residences. Duncan was arrested and booked in the Ventura County Main Jail for violations of 211 PC / Robbery, 459 PC, Residential Burglary, 368 PC / Elder Abuse, & 10851 VC / Unlawful taking of a vehicle, his bail $260,000. |
