Chemical Endangerment Arrest
(Etowah County, AL) A Marshall County woman has been arrested in connection to chemical endangerment of a child, according to Sheriff Todd Entrekin.
“Crystal Leann Russell, 27, of Albertville, is charged with one count of chemical endangerment of exposing a child to an environment in which controlled substances are ingested, produced or distributed, a felony,” investigator Brandi Fuller said.
She tested positive for opiates, amphetamines and OxyContin while pregnant. Russell had previously been charged with chemical endangerment in March 2017. She was arrested for the second time after failing a drug test with Etowah County Community Corrections.
Russell is detained in the Etowah County Detention Center on $10,000 cash bond for the chemical endangerment charge. As a condition of her bond, she must successfully complete a drug treatment program and will be supervised by Etowah Court Referral Office upon release.
