Incident:         Woman Issued Field Appearance Ticket in SLA Inspection
Location:        Sphinx Hookah Lounge, 1245 Middle Country Road, Selden

Suffolk County Police issued a bartender a field appearance ticket after conducting a State Liquor Authority (SLA) inspection on March 15, 2018 at a Selden hookah lounge.
 
Due to numerous community complaints, the Sixth Precinct Crime Section conducted an SLA inspection and investigation into the sale of alcohol to minors at Sphinx Hookah Lounge, located at 1245 Middle Country Road. The investigation revealed that Kayla Wisnowski sold alcohol to a minor.
 
Wisnowski, 22, of Abbott Avenue, Mastic, was issued a field appearance ticket for Unlawfully Dealing with a Child 1^st Degree.
 
The owners of the business were issued five Notice of Violations by the Suffolk County Department of Health. Additional violations were issued by investigators from the Town of Brookhaven and by the Town of Brookhaven Fire Marshal.
 
Wisnowski will be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on May 15, 2018.
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
