#LASD Industry Station Deputies Arrest 2x Carjacking Suspect After Doing Some Good Ol’ Door-to-Door Canvassing! 
Industry Station dispatch received a call of a carjacking at a local fast food restaurant on Tuesday, March 13, 2018, at approximately, 3:24 p.m. A male Hispanic suspect carjacked a female Asian 24 years-old, in the drive-thru of a restaurant on Valley Boulevard and Grand Avenue in the City of Industry. Responding deputies were unable to locate the victim’s vehicle, nor the suspect at that time.
Two days later, a suspect matching the description of the previous incident, carjacked a second victim, female Hispanic 37 years-old. This incident occurred on Thursday, March 15, 2018, at approximately 1:40 p.m., near the 300 block of Brea Canyon Road, in the City of Industry. The suspect was not immediately located.
During both incidents, the suspect simulated a handgun under his shirt while ordering the victims out of their vehicles. The victims were not injured in either of these incidents.
Deputies conducted follow-up, door-to-door canvassing in the nearby industrial tracts, and located the suspect’s place of employment. They reviewed surveillance footage from the suspect’s employer, and matched it with the surveillance footage from the crime locations.
Later that day, the deputies, along with detectives, contacted the suspect at his work. The suspect’s clothing, including his hat and gloves, were identical to those used during the carjackings. He was also in possession of brass knuckles and narcotics.
He was arrested for the carjackings on Friday, March 16, 2018, at 12:25 p.m. and booked at Industry Station.
The suspect is a male Hispanic, 23 years-old. His name is not being released at this time, nor the location of his arrest.
One of the victims vehicles has been recovered. The other vehicle is still outstanding.
The investigation is still ongoing.
