SUMMARY:

On March 18, 2018, at 9:54 p.m., deputies from the Rancho Cucamonga Police Department responded to a hit and run call of a vehicle versus a pedestrian. The witness advised dispatch of the suspects’ vehicle description and the direction of travel. Deputies responded to the victim’s location; he suffered a laceration to the forehead. A Park Ranger Unit also observed the suspect vehicle in a parking lot and relayed the information to dispatch. One Hispanic male subject occupied the vehicle.

Deputies located the vehicle and attempted to conduct a traffic stop but the driver refused to pull over, and a vehicle pursuit ensued. The car was swerving between lanes with speeds of 45 miles per hour. The driver had no regard for other vehicles in the roadway while running red lights. The suspect eventually stopped his car on Foothill Boulevard and Vineyard Avenue.
