City of Cushing to host second Community Meeting to discuss upcoming public vote on capitol improvement projects. 
Cushing - The City of Cushing will be hosting their second community meeting Wednesday March 28, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. - 7:15 p.m., at the Cushing Public Safety Center located at 211 W. Main Street. The City is inviting all interested citizen’s to come and learn more about the upcoming special election slated for Tuesday, April 3.
The City is seeking the citizen’s blessing to:
- Purchase two (2) fire trucks to replace existing trucks
- Build a new animal shelter
- Purchase a street sweeper
Funding for these projects is already in place and will not require asking citizens for a new source of revenue, but because the costs for each exceed the $185K spending limit, approval by the people is necessary.
