WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FOR MERCER COUNTY

MERCER COUNTY: WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM THIS EVENING TO 2 AM THURSDAY.
* WHAT: Heavy mixed precipitation expected. Total snow accumulations of 10 to 14 inches and a trace of ice accumulations are expected.
* WHERE: Western Monmouth and Mercer counties.
* WHEN: From 6 PM this evening to 2 AM EDT Thursday. Mixed precipitation is expected to develop later this morning and continue through tonight, then change to all snow Wednesday and be heavy at times. Thunder is possible Wednesday afternoon. The snow then tapers off Wednesday evening.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS: Plan on slippery road conditions, including during this evenings commute. For Wednesday, plan on very difficult travel conditions especially in the afternoon, including during the Wednesday evening commute when snowfall rates of 1 to 3 inches per hour are expected. Significant reductions in visibility are expected. Widespread power outages are possible on Wednesday. Northeast to north winds will gust 25 to 35 mph at times.
