SUSPECT VEHICLE: Silver 1998 BMW 323ic coupe
On March 10, 2018, at about 2:00 A.M., a Milpitas Police officer was at Americas Best
Value Inn on South Main Street when he saw a silver 1998 BMW 323ic in the parking lot with a bent rear license plate. Although the registration of the car had expired in 2017, there was a 2018 sticker on the bent license plate. The officer learned Martin Leake Jr. drove the car to the hotel and rented a room. Leake Jr. was on Post Release Community Supervision (PRCS) through the Santa Clara County (SCC) Probation Department. Officers contacted Leake Jr. at his hotel room, and they discovered he was with several juveniles. Officers searched the hotel room and found marijuana, alcohol, and a handgun stolen from a residential burglary in San Jose on February 12, 2018. Suspect #1 was booked into the SCC Juvenile Hall for unlawful possession of a stolen firearm and violation of juvenile probation. Suspect #3 and Suspect #4 were booked into the SCC Juvenile Hall for violation of juvenile probation. Leake Jr. was the only adult in the hotel room and was booked into the SCC main jail for violation of probation
and contributing to the delinquency of minors.
