INCIDENT: Burglary and Possession of Stolen Property
LOCATION: Cumberland Drive x Mill Pond Bridge Road, Cedar Glen
SUSPECT: Michael Wilson, 30-year-old residence of Lake Arrowhead
SUMMARY:
On March 21, 2018, Deputy Theis of the Twin Peaks patrol station conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle near the intersection of Cumberland Drive and Mill Pond Bridge Road in the community of Cedar Glen. Deputy Theis contacted Michael Wilson, who was the only person in the vehicle. A records check of Wilson found him to have an active misdemeanor warrant for his arrest for driving on a suspended license. During a search of Wilson’s vehicle, numerous pieces of property belonging to another person were found inside of it. Deputies Ruiz and Collins assisted with the investigation and attempted to contact the owners of the property. Deputies Ruiz and Collins went to the property owner’s residence and discovered it was burglarized. The owners of the residence were out of the country and had no idea their home was burglarized until they were contacted by deputies. Deputies discovered the victim’s silver Porsche 911 convertible was also missing.
Through investigation, deputies and detectives from the Twin Peaks Station’s Investigation’s Bureau found the victim’s Porsche in the area of Little Mountain Drive and Kendall Drive in the City of San Bernardino. Deputies were able to return the victim’s stolen property and vehicle to them.
Wilson was arrested for violations of PC 496(A), Possession of stolen property, PC 459, Burglary, as well as his active misdemeanor warrant. Wilson was transported and booked into the West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga and is currently being held in lieu of $60,000 bond.
The case will be submitted to the San Bernardino County District Attorney’s office for review.
