INCIDENT: Search Warrant – Illegal Marijuana Dispensary / Sales of Marijuana

LOCATION: 18966 Valley Boulevard, Bloomington

SUSPECT: #1) Omar Lopez-Ramos, age 22, of Bloomington
#2) Jose Antonio Torres, age 26, of San Bernardino

SUMMARY:
Investigators from the Sheriff’s Marijuana Enforcement Team served a search warrant at the location and found evidence that the illegal sales of marijuana and marijuana related goods was occurring at the location. Processed marijuana, concentrated cannabis, marijuana edibles and currency were seized from the location.

The suspects were present at the location when investigators conducted their investigation and were arrested for operating the illegal marijuana dispensary.

The dispensary was discovered several weeks ago by code enforcement officers and investigators. There have been several complaints made to officials. A preliminary check into the business showed there were no licenses or permits issued by county or state officials. The illegal business was being operated under the name of Advanced Green Solutions. Evidence gathered during the investigation suggests the suspects are employees at the dispensary. The business was not in compliance with California medical marijuana laws and local ordinances. The County of San Bernardino has an ordinance prohibiting Commercial Cannabis Activity including medical marijuana dispensaries, mobile marijuana dispensaries, delivery services, and outdoor cultivation of marijuana in the unincorporated areas of the county.

A case will also be investigated by the San Bernardino County Land Use Services - Code Enforcement Division and the tenants and/or property owner(s) may be issued a citation for the violations and ultimately fined for the violations if they go uncorrected.

Lopez-Ramos and Torres were arrested without incident and booked at the West Valley Detention Center for Maintaining a Place where a Controlled Substance is Distributed and the Illegal Sales of Cannabis. The District Attorney’s Office will review the case and decide on what criminal charges will be filed against the suspects.
