1 injured in crash

Sheriff Richard Behnke reports that on 3/26/18 at 1155 hrs his office was called to investigate a personal injury crash that occurred on Shavehead Lake St near M 40 in Porter township, Cass County Michigan. 57 yr old Edwardsburg resident, Karen Pierucki, was westbound when she went off the road and crashed into the trees. She was taken to Three Rivers hospital for treatment. It is believed that she was using her safety belt and that prescription drugs may have been a factor. This case remains under investigation.
