Auto Thief Arrested
On March 26, 2018, at approximately 1:22 a.m., patrol officers were conducting routine patrol in the area of Felbar Avenue and 187th Street. They contacted Jeremy Brown in a 1995 Dodge pick-up that only displayed “paper” plates. Officers determined the vehicle to be stolen upon querying one of the vehicle’s license plates which had been removed and concealed under the front seat cushion. Officers also recovered drug paraphernalia and suspected methamphetamine from the vehicle as well.
Investigators discovered the vehicle was reported stolen the day before within a one mile radius from where Officers contacted Jeremy Brown, 35 years of Torrance.
The Torrance Police Department continues to encourage the community to report all suspicious activity. “See Something, Say Something.”
This case is being investigated by Crimes Property Detectives within the Torrance Police Department’s Detective Division under the command of Captain Martin Vukotic, Commander of the Special Operations Bureau.
