Earlier this week a concerned area senior citizen reported that someone had approached her door at around 8PM claiming they were with an area church. After conferring with our Police Chaplain, Pastor Carl Long, checked with the church in question and confirmed that the church had not been conducting any door to door operations. I recommend that you never open a door after dark to someone who is an unknown or unplanned guest, especially if you are home alone. In instances like these important and helpful to contact our dispatch non-emergency line at 417-777-3911 and get an Officer or Deputy out to check the area.
