Arrest made in November Home Invasion

On November 26, 2017, a home invasion robbery took place in the 2600 block of Castleview Dr. A young girl who was home during the robbery hid in a closet and called 911 while the robbery was taking place. Before the police arrived on scene, the young girl was located by the suspect. The suspect fled the scene, but not before pushing the young girl down and yelling at her. Video of the suspect exiting the home was released and a request for assistance from the public to help identify the suspect was disseminated. Turlock Police Department is thankful for the numerous tips received from the community regarding this case.

On January 13, 2018, 52 year old Kevin Morgan, and 48 year old Jodi Northcutt were arrested by Tustin Police Department for possession of stolen property. Through the course of our investigation, Turlock Detectives developed information that led them to believe that Kevin and Jodi were involved in the November home invasion robbery. Further investigation and evidence gathered allowed Detectives to seek arrest warrants for their involvement in the November 2017 home invasion robbery. On February 7, 2018, Jodi Northcutt was arrested by Turlock Police Department Detectives at the Orange County Jail. She was subsequently transported to Stanislaus County Jail and booked for her involvement in the home invasion robbery, burglary and grand theft.

After criminal proceedings in Orange County had completed, Kevin Morgan was remanded into the custody of the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. On March 16, 2018, Kevin Morgan was transported to the Stanislaus County Jail and booked for home invasion robbery, burglary, and grand theft based on the warrants obtained by Turlock Detectives.

“I am honored and proud of our Police Department for their dedication to our community. I am especially proud of our Detectives who never let up in pursuing leads which led to the arrest of these suspects,” said Police Chief Nino Amirfar.
