Hockley County Sheriff's Office calls for service and activities for Friday, 3/30/18, through Sunday, 4/1/18.

Good Monday morning! The following are calls for service and activities for the Sheriff’s Office for Friday, 3/30/18, through Sunday, 4/1/18.

3/30/18

-300 blk Duggan, Anton: Disturbance. A deputy was dispatched to a reported verbal disturbance at a residence in the area. After meeting with parties, no offense was reported and the disturbance was determined to be verbal only.

-Hwy 114 at FM 2646, Levelland: Loose Livestock. A deputy was dispatched to locate several loose cattle in the area. The cattle were located and secured.

-2400 blk Hwy 114, Levelland: Vehicle Crash. A deputy responded to a vehicle crash in the area. DPS troopers arrived and conducted the crash investigation.

-6500 blk Oxen Rd, Ropesville: Assist EMS. A deputy responded to a residence related to possible suspicious activity. On arrival the subject requested EMS. One individual was transported by EMS for evaluation. The caller later advised he only needed medical attention.

-1400 blk West Ellis, Levelland: Disturbance. Deputies responded to a possible assault at a residence in the area. One individual reported minor injury and being struck on the face. The complainant did not want to pursue charges immediately. A report was taken related to the incident for Assault Cause Bodily Injury.

-2300 blk East Ellis, Levelland: Trespassing. A deputy was dispatched to a report of an individual trespassing on the property. An individual was contacted and transported to another location in Levelland.

3/31/18

-500 blk Igoe, Anton: Disturbance. A deputy was dispatched to a reported verbal disturbance at a residence. Parties advised no offenses occurred. Information was collected related to the incident.

-500 blk 10th St, Levelland: Assist Levelland PD. A deputy responded to assist with a reported stolen trailer. The trailer was located outside of the city limits and had been reported stolen in Lubbock. The trailer was towed from the scene until the owners can retrieve it.

-FM 1585 at FM 303, Sundown: Vehicle Crash. Deputies were dispatched to a single vehicle crash near the intersection. DPS troopers conducted the crash investigation, and deputies assisted on scene as needed.

-Lincoln Rd at England Rd, Levelland: Loose Livestock. A deputy was notified of possible loose cattle in the area. The area was checked and no loose livestock were located.

4/1/18

-100 blk Mandy Circle, Opdyke: Burglary. A deputy was dispatched to a residence related to a vehicle burglary. Information was collected for a report and the incident is under investigation.

-800 blk Matthew, Sundown: Criminal Mischief. A deputy was notified of a reported criminal mischief offense at a residence. The resident reported a window was broken. The incident is under investigation and a report is pending.

-700 blk Koala Rd, Levelland: Suspicious Vehicle. A deputy responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle driving in the area. The area was checked and the vehicle was gone prior to arrival. The vehicle was described as a van.

-300 blk Walnut, Levelland: Traffic Complaint. A deputy responded to the area related to a vehicle driving in the area and the driver making obscene gestures. The individual was contacted and he stated the vehicle was driving too fast along the street. A deputy met with all parties and the incident was resolved.

-200 blk N. Avenue S, Levelland: Assist Levelland PD. A deputy assisted with a civil matter over a property dispute. The incident was resolved.

-FM 300 at FM 303, Levelland: Loose Livestock. A deputy was dispatched to attempt to locate loose livestock in the area. The area was checked and no loose cattle were located.

-800 blk N. Hwy 385, Levelland: 911 Hang-Up. A deputy responded to a 911 hang-up call. Parties were contacted and the call was accidental. No offenses were observed or reported.

-100 blk Veretto Rd, Levelland: Check Welfare. A deputy was dispatched to check welfare of an individual at the residence. The complainant later called back and advised the individual was at a residence in Lamb County.

Deputies also conducted close patrols/vacation watches, patrols in all areas of the county, investigative follow-up activities, and civil process service.

Jail population as of 4/2/18 at 0800 hours: 54 in Hockley County, 2 to be processed, 14 out of county.
