...WIND ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM EDT THIS EVENING...
* WINDS...West 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph.
* TIMING...Southwest winds will increase this morning, then
quickly shift to the west as a strong cold front crosses the
area late in the morning into the early afternoon. A line of
showers with embedded thunderstorms will move through with the
front and this could bring localized wind gusts to 50 mph or
greater. Following the passage of the cold front, widespread
west- northwest winds gusting 40 to 50 mph will occur through
the afternoon before diminishing in the early evening.
* IMPACTS...Strong winds may blow down limbs, trees, and power
lines. Scattered power outages are expected.
