Modesto, California - Stanislaus County District Attorney Birgit Fladager announced today that the United States Attorney for the Eastern District, McGregor Scott, will be attending the monthly Stanislaus County law enforcement executives meeting being held this Thursday, April 5th, 2018 at the Modesto Police Department.

After that meeting concludes, Mr. Scott will hold a press conference at 11:00 a.m. with local officials to discuss the threat of Fentanyl in the Central Valley and how his office works with local law enforcement to combat that threat. The U.S. Attorney will also highlight the continued cooperation his office enjoys with Stanislaus County in pursuing the removal of illegal guns from our streets through the Project Safe Neighborhood initiative.

Media may attend the press conference which will be held in the Modesto Police Department Briefing Room, located in the police building on the 600 block of 11th street directly across from Fire Department Station 1 at 610 11th Street.
