NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A WIND ADVISORY FOR OUR AREA. THE WIND ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8:00PM THIS EVENING.

WINDS...West northwest 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph during the balance of this afternoon into the early evening.

IMPACTS...Strong winds may blow down limbs, trees, and power lines. Scattered power outages are expected.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A Wind Advisory means that very windy conditions are expected.
The wind can make driving difficult, especially for high profile
vehicles. Use extra caution. Light-weight outdoor objects such as
patio furniture and garbage cans should be secured.

 In the event of downed utility wires, you should immediately report them to JCP&L at the number above and the Berkeley Township Police Department at 732-341-6600. Residents should never go near a downed power line, even if they think it is no longer carrying electricity.

 Residents should take necessary measures to secure all of your loose items on your property. Such as patio furniture, chairs, tables, sporting equipment, awnings, etc.
