High Wind Watch until 08:00PM Saturday

...HIGH WIND WATCH IN EFFECT FROM LATE FRIDAY NIGHT THROUGH SATURDAY EVENING... The National Weather Service in Portland has issued a High Wind Watch, which is in effect from late Friday night through Saturday evening.

* COASTAL WINDS...35 to 45 mph with gusts to 70 mph beaches and headlands, and to 60 mph coastal communities.

* COAST RANGE WINDS...20 to 30 mph. Gusts to 65 mph exposed ridges.

* TIMING...Windy from late Friday night through Saturday evening, but strongest winds are most likely during the daytime Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Damaging winds could damage trees and power lines. Local power outages are possible. Travel may be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles across coastal bridges.

* AFFECTED AREAS: CENTRAL COAST RANGE OF WESTERN OREGON ... CENTRAL OREGON COAST ... COAST RANGE OF NORTHWEST OREGON ... NORTH OREGON COAST
