The National Weather Service in Riverton has issued a Flood WATCH for Jackson Hole Saturday 4/7 and Sunday 4/8. Visit https://forecast.weather.gov/wwamap/wwatxtget.php?cwa=riw&wwa=flood%20watch for details. This means that conditions are favorable for flooding and that flooding of low-lying areas and near creeks and streams is possible. Rain-on-snow can accelerate snowmelt and cause flooding in places that aren't near waterways or in FEMA flood zones. Prepare now if your property is prone to flooding or if you are in a low-lying area.
