Board of Water Supply (BWS) crews completed repairs and restored water service overnight to the broken 20-inch main on Dole Street near Kanewai Community Park and have re-opened all lanes of St. Louis Dr. for normal traffic flow.
Dole St. remains completely closed between East-West Road and Frank St. while a contractor completes final-paving of the roadway. Motorists are asked to continue to avoid the area today, as BWS crews need to fix a valve on Dole St., fronting the dorms, that began to leak during repairs to the main.
Customers in St. Louis Heights are asked to please continue to use water sparingly until further notice for essential needs only, such as cooking, cleaning and sanitary needs, to allow the system to recover.
Regularly scheduled trash pickup for residents on Dole Street will be delayed until after the main break repairs are completed. In the meantime residents may leave the trash bins out.
