Beginning, Thursday, April 12th, 2018 the East Avenue Sewer Relief Project will be making a large shift to the restoration phase. The General Contractor and sub-contractors will be having multiple crews performing many different jobs with East Avenue being completely closed in multiple locations between 4th and 16th Streets.
East Avenue remains closed to all traffic. Accurate daily closure locations will not be possible. The different crews will attempt to accommodate EMS, Fire and school buses, but there could be considerable delays in moving equipment so please do not use East Avenue unless there is an emergency call in the construction zone of East Avenue.
The residents in the East Avenue Sewer Relief Project work zone will be notified daily as to how they can access their driveways.
East Avenue remains closed and drivers must use the detour routes for East Avenue of Middle Avenue and East River Street. The detour routes are posted.
