Board of Water Supply crews are continuing their work to replace at least 9-feet of broken water main that is 16-inches in diameter on Komo Mai Drive at the bottom of the hairpin turn of Pacific Palisades in Pearl City.
As a reminder to motorists, the traffic lanes are modified to allow for one lane to be open in each direction on Komo Mai Drive near the hairpin turn. To ensure everyone’s safety on the roadway, motorists that must pass through the work area are asked to drive slowly and with caution as the lanes are narrower than usual to accommodate for two-way traffic as well as the repairs. Repairs to the main and roadway are expected to continue overnight.
Pacific Palisades has water service. All residents in the area are asked to conserve water until further notice to allow the system to recover. Please use water sparingly for essential needs only such as cooking, cleaning, and sanitary needs.
